Sidney Crosby, P.K Subban, Alex Ovetchkin, Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Toews are all exceptional players in the National Hockey League.

But they're not your favorite player in the league. That honor now belongs to Bobby Robins. You may not know it yet - unless you watched the Bruins take on the Flyers last night - but Robins is awesome, just trust me.

Rookie at 32

Let's start off with the basics. Robins is a 32-year old rookie that has spent all of his career in the American Hockey League, making 280 appearances none of which have been in the Big League. If that's not enough for you to at least root for him a bit then you have a heart of stone.

Then there is the fact that he was only on the Bruins roster because of the amount of injuries to the squad. And then he decided to fight with his life for a place on that opening day roster, which he managed after getting past two rounds of cuts.

Mic'ed Up Magic

NESN decided to focus an episode of “Behind the B” on the bruiser, and it was incredible. Robins was mic’ed up during a preseason game against the Washington Capitals and it was the best decision the show ever made. The fourth-line winger scores a goal, gets in a fight, and spends the rest of the game displaying his glorious array of smack talk. Here's a clip of the great man in action.

And then we come to last night and finally the NHL universe is graced by the magisterial man that is Bobby Robins. Robins did what he was supposed to do and be physical. And by physical we mean beat the hell out of defender that is taller and heavier than him.

The unfortunate soul who didn't know what he was getting himself into was Luke Schenn. Here it is.

The Boston Bruins better not cut Robins, it would be a sad day for us all if he was to leave just as soon as he had announced himself to the national stage and into our fight loving hearts.
