RKO Outta' Nowhere

Orton's finisher is called an RKO - taken after his initials - and see's the WWE superstar grabbing the neck of his opponent before driving it into the mat.

Stills and video of the 12-time WWE Champion performing the move have been edited into a number of videos of people falling over as well as football players hitting the floor, accompanied by over-the-top commentary from WWE commentators past and present; Jim Ross, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole.

We urge you to check out Twitter for new vines which keep appearing every day, but here is a compilation of some of the very best and funniest ones to date.

The Viper

Orton himself has latched on to the hysteria and dropped a reference to the craze in one of his latest tweets. After this Monday's edition of Raw in which he RKO'd Dolph Ziggler from a Powerbomb, he tweeted "How about that RKO out of nowhere... #Raw" and has been retweeting Vines of the craze from his account.

The Viper seems to be loving the craze that has been created and having his name being a trending topic on Twitter for the past week or so is never a bad thing for the old follower count.

The RKO Vines are here to stay, and they are only getting better.
