Juventus are confident of landing Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata in the January transfer window, according to the Express.
The Italian giants have been linked with a move for the Spanish ace in recent time, and recent reports have suggested that they're set to make a £20 million move for the man David Moyes signed from Chelsea in January.
Mata quickly became a key man under the previous regime, however he's not had it all his own way under new boss Louis van Gaal. Despite starring on a number of occasions in the early stages of the season, it appears that Mata has fallen down the Old Trafford pecking order following the club's summer transfer activity.
Louis van Gaal landed Radamel Falcao on a temporary deal on transfer deadline day, and it appears that the Dutch boss prefers the Colombian hit-man to play alongside Robin van Persie in attack, with captain Wayne Rooney occupying the No.10 role.
And now, the same report has suggested that Van Gaal is ready to let Mata depart the Theatre of Dreams, with Juventus expected to table a bid in the region of £20m. It's also been suggested, however, that Mata could be tempted with a move to his former club Valencia, who are also seemingly interested in his signature.
Mata to make his mark
Mata, though, will currently be hoping to make his mark in the Manchester United team, with Rooney currently out on the sidelines through suspension. The Spanish came in for the United captain as the Red Devils secured three points against Everton in their last fixture, and he will be hoping to keep his place for next week's clash with West Brom.
Van Gaal's side will be hoping to secure their third consecutive victory on Monday evening as they continue to climb the Premier League table.
