The global football fraternity were shocked by the awful scenes that accompanied Serbia's abandoned Euro 2016 qualifier against rivals Albania on Tuesday - but that particular brawl was child's play compared to the one that recently broke out in Argentina.

As reported by the Mirror, a third-tier clash between Cipolletti and Deportivo Roca descended into absolute chaos as players from both teams - as well as substitutes and anyone else who fancied displaying their best Rocky impression - totally took leave of their senses and violently clashed following a fairly routine yellow card decision.

12 reds cards

Incredibly, 12 players were eventually dismissed for their respective roles in the free-for-all that had echoes of a WWE Royal Rumble and was immediately dubbed a 'disgrace' by the home team's manager.

Indeed, the fight was so bad that riot police can clearly be seen wading in to try and stop it - not something you can often say about the usual handbags that take between volatile footballers.

It's safe to say the game was abandoned following such a woeful lack of discipline, a decision that will presumably have incensed the visitors as it prevented them from holding on to a valuable victory.
