Chris Hughton could make a sensational return to Birmingham City as they look to find a replacement for the departing Lee Clark.
Clark was sacked following a defeat at home to Bolton which left the club in 21st place in the Championship having won just 2 of their opening 12 league games. Clark kept Birmingham up by the skin of his teeth last season and the Blues have since showed no signs of improvement.

The club have said they are already in the process of finding a new manager and an appointment is imminent and could be done this week. Hughton is an early favorite having guided the club to 5th in 2011-12 and was also unlucky to see his side not qualify for the Europa League knockout stages that year.
Hughton is available after being sacked by Norwich City last April and he is at 10/1 with the bookies to succeed Lee Clark. Brian McDermott and Steve Clarke are other names in the frame to takeover at St Andrews. Birmingham travel to Ewood Park tonight in the Championship.
