If you were still hopeful of CM Punk making some grand comeback to the WWE at a future Pay Per View event then i'm afraid I'm going to have to be the bearer of bad news.

According to reports from NoDQ.com, the relationship between Punk and the WWE is as bad as it has ever been and that Punk's likelihood to return approximately seems to be around zero percent right now.

Bad Blood

"PWInsider reached out to a WWE source to ask about the reports and were told that relations between Punk and WWE are not going good," the article read.

Punk walked out of WWE last January and it is a decision that continues to be a focal point among the WWE fan base. Since January, the relationship between WWE and Punk has deteriorated to a point where many feel no return is possible.

And now it seems like the WWE may finally be cutting ties to Punk completely and give up on him as a hopeless cause that cannot be urged to come back to the squared circle.

Eliminating Evidence

The report then goes on to say that WWE are cutting these ties by effectively erasing any evidence of CM Punk from fan signs in the crowd at live shows.

"There were multiple reports of CM Punk fan signs being taken at Monday's RAW in Kansas City...It was also said that WWE is probably going to now be going out of their way to make sure nobody is bringing attention to the fact that Punk is no longer around."

This is an odd way to go for the company, after they have had big names like The Shield, Paul Heyman, and Stephanie McMahon all bad mouth the absent superstar in promos.

So those rumours about Punk returning as a surprise contestant at Royal Rumble, yeah now's a good time to ignore them completely.
