Juan Mata has picked his five players he believes are the best in Manchester United's history.
Speaking to Manchester United's official website, Mata admitted that it's a tough ask to select just five players to represent the Old Trafford giants, but in the end he selected Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy and, cheekily, Rio Ferdinand AND Nemanja Vidic.
"I could speak about at least 20 players because in this club's history there have always been top players," Mata said. "But if you will only allow me to select, here goes…"
Mata, a £37m January signing from Chelsea, described Scholes as 'one of the first midfielders I ever saw…an unbelievable player' and hailed Giggs for his longevity and a 'beautiful left foot.'
Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the Ballon d'Or with the club in 2008, was an easy choice while van Nistelrooy is 'one of the best strikers I've ever seen', according to the Spaniard.
Ferdinand and Vidic
And finally we come to Ferdinand and Vidic, who must come us a pair, says Mata. Cheating the game slightly, the Manchester United number eight was given a pass and picked the duo because they were 'key players in winning trophies' for Manchester United.

Mata was obviously only selecting players that he watched first hand, as all five (six) were Premier League stalwarts for the Old Trafford giants.
Mata at United
As for the Spain international himself, Mata is still finding his feet at the club after his big-money move. The influx of attacking players over the summer, the likes of Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria, has cast doubt on his place in the team but he remains a favourite of Louis van Gaal's.
He has played the fourth highest number of minutes for United so far this season (513), behind only David De Gea, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
