With three NXT specials successfully in the bag attentions now turn to the fourth special event, after General Manager William Regal confirmed ‘Our Evolution’ will be coming our way in December.

NXT fans are always excited when a special event comes around because the standard of regular NXT shows are that high, the special events manage to eclipse them and reach new heights.

The first NXT Special – Arrival – saw current NXT Champion Adrian Neville defeat Bo Dallas to become champion before retaining it at Takeover and then at Takeover: Fatal 4 Way.

NXT always tape four episodes on a Thursday which are then shown every week – if you wish to avoid the spoilers for the next four episodes and the special event; please turn back now.

On the episodes which have been taped, four matches have been confirmed so far with a few more expected to be announced soon.

Once we see Prince Devitt finally debut on NXT as Finn Balor he will team with Hideo Itami to take down The Ascension and competing together against other tag teams. Hideo Itami finally gets Viktor and Konnor inside the ring with Finn Balor by his side in a tag team match between the two exciting new additions to the main roster and a team that is expected to make the jump to the main roster very soon.

Another tag team match is also confirmed for Our Evolution, with the NXT Tag Team Championships set to be defended by The Lucha Dragons as they attempt to overcome a team that have been racking up the wins recently in The Vaudevillians. This will be the first real test for Sin Cara and Kalisto as Aiden English and Simon Gotch are capable of holding the gold, whether they can dethrone them this early remains to be seen.

The NXT Women’s Championship will also be defended as Sasha Banks will finally get Charlotte inside the ring as she continues to impress.

Adrian Neville will defend his NXT Championship against Sami Zayn with a very interesting stipulation added to the match.

Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville will cross paths once more as a heel turn continues to be teased for the champion, Neville. Sami Zayn confirmed to the NXT Universe and to Neville that if he is unable to capture the big one, he will quit the WWE for good.

This stipulation already indicates that Adrian Neville is set to drop the championship to Sami Zayn who will erase his ‘nearly man’ tag and sit firmly at the top of the NXT tree as the champion, at last.

This leaves two options for Adrian Neville, the first being staying on NXT, potentially as a heel and challenging Sami Zayn again. Or he could take the popular choice and jump straight to the main roster.

A potential debut has also been rumoured for the December event, with Kevin Steen likely to make his presence felt during or after the match between Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn, something the independent fans know will be fantastic.

This match card isn’t finalised but it is already shaping up to be a great event, with more matches set to take place on the night one of the matches fans expect will happen is a clash between Tyler Breeze and Mojo Rawley after Breeze viciously attacked Rawley a few weeks ago.

Another match the fans will be looking forward to is a huge task for Baron Corbin, who could be set for a tough test against Bull Dempsey.

Marcus Louis could take on Sylvester Lefort after attacking him on NXT last week whilst Enzo Amore and Big Cass or Carmella could also be in action at NXT Takeover: Our Evolution.
