WWE need to change their ideas for The Authority

It is no secret that the authoritative figures within WWE are the biggest reason for the industry's existence.

However, given their role is just that - to be in charge and oversee the WWE Superstars which make up the roster, maybe it is time The Authority members which are currently in charge take a back seat and let the wrestlers have a little more freedom.

There is no denying that the talent which the likes of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H hold is impressive and it is often interesting to see what their characters come out with, week in week out.

But the prominence of The Authority more recently in WWE has become too much. Whether it is a rant in the ring from Triple H or his wife taking up a large segment of Monday Night Raw or we are seeing which WWE Superstar Corporate Kane is helping on hindering during their match, the repetition is more tiring now than ever before.

Alternative idea

Even when The Authority is confronting a WWE Superstar who is a fan favourite such as with the case of John Cena on Raw this week, whatever Cena had to say was undermined by an irate Triple H.

Why not then, take this opportunity to introduce new professional wrestlers and freshen up the roster, instead of wearing down the best current performers?

A new WWE Superstar or even a few for that matter would bring a whole new aspect to the company, and would give The Authority a chance to develop a more interesting story line with new ideas and new characters.

Feuding with opponents

The relationship the Authority figures have with the WWE Superstars is understandably key, which is also why the switching of wrestlers such as Seth Rollins and Randy Orton to being under The Authority's wing or not, is seemingly more predictable than exciting.

The main issue with this concept is that it detracts from the feuds which the professional wrestlers have with each other. A match which sees two big names battle it out having been feuding for so long without any interruptions from The Authority is surely better for business than one which does.

Ultimately, The Authority are the most powerful people in the company and clashing with them is something which is no use to a WWE Superstar as it is near enough impossible to overcome them.

WWE need to change up their ideas regarding these figures to stay away from the repetitive story line cycle which it currently has them involved in.
