Phil Jagielka has unbelievably been clocked running faster than any other Premier League player this season - and the rest of the top 10 is not who you would expect.
Raheem Sterling, Aaron Lennon, Theo Walcott... the names most fans would expect to see when discussing the fastest players in England, but surprisingly none of those names feature.
EA Sports, who work closely with the Premier League, have reportedly clocked the Toffee's star running at 35.99km/ph at some point during this season. Surprisingly, the names to follow him in the list are the likes of Ritchie de Laet, Alan Hutton and Joey O'Brien.
Jagielka was struggling at the start of this campaign, which forced manager Roberto Martinez to think about his team selection.
He has responded superbly though, scoring a phenomenal equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool as well as the opener in a 3-0 win over Aston Villa, whilst performing equally solid at the back.

“We’re getting stats on him getting close to 100 passes per game,” the Everton boss said to the Liverpool Echo. “At the same time he takes real pride in getting clean sheets. He’s been instrumental in the clean sheets against Aston Villa and Lille."
And Martinez went on to say that the results which shocked the footballing nation, did not surprise him whatsoever.
"When a defender covers he needs to make up short distances really quickly," he explained. "They’re not the eye catching runs that maybe you spot as a fan because you’re always watching the man on the ball.
"It’s more attractive to see the player running with the ball and taking people on.
"But Phil Jagielka is not just quick he’s rapid in the way he covers the distances. It did not surprise me at all."
