John Cena has some big decisions to make ahead of Survivor Series

As we all know by now the main event of Survivor Series will be a traditional Survivor Series tag team elimination match where Team Authority will take on Team Cena.

It was announced this past week on Monday Night Raw, after John Cena declined Stephanie McMahon’s offer of joining Team Authority. Triple H then handed John Cena the task of finding anybody backstage who would be willing to help him.

It looks as if he already has his first partner, Dolph Ziggler helped Cena fight off The Authority in the main event, and once his spot is confirmed there will only be room for three more superstars.

The likelihood is that Triple H won’t be getting out of his suit to compete, so Seth Rollins will be captaining Team Authority. His partners will include Kane and Randy Orton. The WWE have options from there, they can either make sure the rest of the event has good matches by placing Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury in this match, and save the other top talent for the remainder of matches, or they could include the likes of Mark Henry, Cesaro or even Bray Wyatt.

Other matches could include Bray Wyatt taking on Dean Ambrose whilst Mark Henry and The Big Show could also compete, so their roles in the tag team matches could depend on whether they have singles matches instead.

As singles matches haven’t yet been announced, it means at the moment any superstar should be able to compete until the potential announcements, here’s who I think should join Team Cena alongside Dolph Ziggler.

The Big Show could be a valuable asset to John Cena, with his superior size and brute strength it would be a huge task to eliminate The World’s Largest Athlete – his appearance in the team does depend on whether Mark Henry joins Team Authority.

Now that Ryback has returned to the WWE as a face, aligning himself with John Cena would be the perfect move to turn him into a big player once more. He isn’t in a feud right now and it makes perfect sense to wait until the Survivor Series pay-per-view is over.

If Bray Wyatt does compete in Team Authority, then it only makes perfect sense to have Dean Ambrose join Team Cena. This way, the WWE ca hold off on a singles bout between the two men and it would allow more time for a great build-up with great promos, so the singles match shouldn’t happen as soon as Survivor Series, This will also allow Dean Ambrose to get to Seth Rollins once more.

As it’s still early days, we don’t know which other matches will be announced. If any of the superstars mentioned are involved in matches on the night, then there are still other contenders who will be able to fill the void.

If Sheamus doesn’t defend his United States Championship against Rusev on the night, then expect him to be a firm favourite to join Team Cena.

The Uso’s may or may not challenge Gold and Stardust for the WWE Tag Team Championships again – but if needs be then they can play a big part in the tag team match.

Jack Swagger is somebody else who has had very little to do in recent weeks, Swagger will bring some strength to the group with his superior wrestling ability, and having Zeb Colter in your corner isn’t too bad either.
