It's completely impossible for Sunderland's inexcusable form to not be thought upon as they prepare for a trip to London to face a Crystal Palace side in desperate need of all three points.

Gus Poyet labelled their 8-0 demolition against Sunderland was "the most embarrassing moment of his managerial career" and the Uruguayan wasn't too pleased after yet more defensive errors cost the team a possible draw.

Wes Brown made the first mistake to gift Alexis Sanchez a goal before Will Buckley's unexplainable back pass to Vito Mannone couldn't be cleared in time for the Chilean to drill the final nail into the coffin.

Neil Warnock's Crystal Palace are suffering a fate not too dissimilar from that of Sunderland's current state however they don't seem to be leaking as many goals. Consecutive defeats to Hull, Chelsea on top of a criminal last minute comeback last week from West Brom have left the Eagles sitting dangerously above the drop zone.

Warnock has given Scott Dann just two days to prove his fitness ahead of Monday night's mouth watering clash but James McArthur is almost certain to return from a hip injury as well as Damien Delaney on the rebound from his suspension.
