Arsene Wenger shows his lighter side in new Puma video

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has proved he's not afraid to make fun of his own reputation for being something of a clumsy character, after agreeing to star in one of the most bizarre viral videos produced by a sportswear manufacturer in recent times.

Wenger's often been made to look rather foolish on the touchline by failing to do up his michelin-man style winter jacket when the weather turns, which led to widespread speculation that a lucrative new sponsorship with Puma would see them experiment with a velcro strap.

Puma have been prolific on social media ever since signing that £30million-a-season agreement with the Gunners and continued that trend this week, posting a video which sees Wenger try out his new jacket and the zipper for himself.

Even Vic Akers gets a mention

Wenger and his kit man Vic Akers have both been roped into the publicity for Puma's attempt to create the 'perfect zipper' for Wenger, with the coat given the treatment of a new signing as it was delivered in a special package on Monday morning.

The Puma marketing speil for the 61 second video is almost laughable, with the highlight, or lowlight depending how you look at it: "You can’t let anything break your concentration. Not even a zipper."

Wenger no stranger to the cringe factor

Arsenal fans can feast their eyes on Puma's attempt at comedy for themselves at the bottom of the page, a video which means the cameras at tonight's Champions League showdown with Anderlecht will no doubt be trained on Wenger and his new magic zipper before kick-off.
