January is still some way away but that hasn’t stopped a host of players being linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, chief of which has been Kevin Strootman.
Now the Dutch international is finally stet to make his long-awaited return from injury this weekend if he comes through a specially arranged fixture unscathed this week. Louis van Gaal has previously admitted he would monitor Strootman’s journey back to fitness and could now make a move in January.
Strootman was forced to miss the World Cup because of his knee injury - had he been fit, Manchester United may have made a move to sign him over the summer. As it stands however a January swoop could be on the cards according to the Telegraph, although Roma have previously been adamant that they won't sell at any price - although they did suggest that €100m may be enough.
Falcao may not join Manchester United permanently
Reports this morning suggest that Manchester United may opt against signing Radamel Falcao at the end of the season. The Colombian has struggled with injury of late, and the Sun say that the Red Devils may now opt against activating a clause which allows them to sign the striker permanently at the end of his loan spell this season.
