Could Kevin Durant be on his way to Boston

He is the current NBA MVP and the biggest tar of the Oklahoma City Thunder, but could Kevin Durant have a new team in place?

Well he has received some encouragement from a Hollywood personality to make a move away from the Thunder.

Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg, has made a big plea for Durant to move to his beloved Boston Celtics once his contract ends with Oklahoma City.

Durant won the MVP award for last season and is out of contract with the Thunder in 2016 and will become a free agent.

There are rumours that Durant is scheduled to be re-signing with the Thunder or even looking to move back to his home town of Washington D.C.

Without doubt, if Durant becomes available as a free agent in 2016 he will be the most sought after man available in the NBA.

There will no doubt be many teams interested but whether or not the Celtics will be able to convince Durant to move to Boston is a whole different matter.

But Wahlberg has been been trying his hardest to convince Durant to come to the Celtics when the NBA superstar shot some hoops on his private court.

With the court coloured green and black and the Celtics logo at half-court, he certainly is getting a lot of subliminal messaging across to Durant.

If Durant does move to the struggling Eastern Conference team, the Celtics nation will surely be as jubilant as the Cleveland Cavaliers fans were earlier this summer.

Durant not going anywhere

Whilst Durant only has two years left on his OKC contract, he won't be leaving the team any time soon.

The Thunder could certainly do with him back on the court now after he is set to be sidelined until the end of this month at best.

He's not the only Thunder star on the sidelines as Russell Westbrook is also ruled out with a significant injury.

The Thunder currently stand at 1-4 with their only win coming over the Denver Nuggets in their third game of the season.

They had high hopes ahead of the season but with the injuries to their stars, they already appear to be up against it if they are hoping to make the post-season.
