Angel di Maria's wife has taken to Instagram to refute claims that Manchester United's record signing is unhappy at Old Trafford and already seeking an exit just three months after joining the club in a £59.7 million deal from Real Madrid.

The Argentina international made an impressive start to life in the Premier League on a personal level, but has been unable to help the Red Devils rediscover their best form, with Louis van Gaal's side currently sat in sixth place in the table after 11 games.

Manchester United's early season struggles has prompted speculation that Di Maria could in fact depart in 2015, with The Metro even reporting the possibility of a return to the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the 26-year-old's partner Jorgelina Cardoso has swiftly denied those rumours, insisting that her husband is content in England, before reiterating the £280,000-a-week star's commitment to his new employers.

"You are free to think whatever you want, but in fact, Angel is absolutely happy of being in Manchester United… Buenas noches!!!" she posted on social media.
