With WrestleMania31 fast approaching reports have suggested that the WWE suggesting a possibility of Sting AKA – Steve Borden, finally putting pen to paper on contract with the WWE.
The first rumblings of this came about around two months ago when WWE had released a promotional video for their popular video game WWE2K15, in the video we see that one of the possible characters you could unlock and play as was the man himself, Sting.
Now, it is only understandable that it left fans, though excited, extremely baffled and confused by his appearance here.
It is common knowledge that Sting has wrestled for more or less every big named wrestling promotion there has been throughout his career spanning almost 30 years give or take, but arguably the biggest wrestling superstar outside the WWE has never once stepped foot in without a doubt the biggest wrestling promotion in the entire business.
People, immediately took it as a strong hint that Sting and the WWE have finally come to terms on a deal that would see him finally appear on WWE programming.

In addition to this, Borden was also seen attending a recent WWE press conference, promoting his character in the latest WWE game. He later gave an interview explaining that the Video game character was just the start. In addition to this also has a new line of t-shirts being promoted on the WWE website.
This was pretty much all he was willing to let on but it gave the hard-core wrestling fans hope that sometime in the foreseeable future they could see the Icon, Sting.
Let’s just say Sting was to have struck a deal with the company - do you think he would have a match at wrestleMania? And if so who with?
With the Undertaker’s streak being broken last year by current WWE World Heavy Weight Champion Brock Lesnar, if these two were to have a match it would obviously not have the same principles on the line.
However, this doesn’t mean this still wouldn’t be the absolute fans choice, as it would seem to be the obvious choice for a once in a life time match. Both at similar stages in their respective careers and also a match that we have never before seen and has been anticipated for years.
As well as the Undertaker, there are also other available superstars, the likes of Hulk Hogan, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar. These are the stars that have been shortlisted off the top of fans’ heads - men they feel would make the most sense.
But, whoever it is, I’m sure the match would be electrifying regardless as it is a man and a match the hard-core and everyday wrestling fan has been wanting to happen inside the WWE for years.
