Standing at over seven foot tall and weighing around 400 pound, no one can deny that The Great Khali is one of the best physical specimens in WWE today, but it's his character that has been his biggest down fall.
The news today is that Khali's profile has been moved from the active roster page on WWE.com to the Alumni section. As well as this, Khali hasn't been included on the current European Tour and his last WWE appearance was against Rusev in a very one sided match on the Smackdown Halloween special. Leading to speculation that Khali has departed from WWE.
Khali hasn't been a part of a hard hitting WWE storyline in years and when the company aligned him with Hornswoggle and Natalya and the former World Heavyweight Champion became a joke over night.
This was the saddest part of Khali's career, after the feud he had with The Undertaker when he first debuted back in 2006, that lead to one of the best Last Man Standing matches in recent memory. WWE then created a match just for him when he challenged The Undertaker to a Punjabi Prison Match, even though Khali wasn't cleared to compete in his own match, he still managed to be a part of it and kept the feud alive.
Khali was also pushed towards the World Heavyweight Championship after Edge vacated his title and the giant won, he then only lost the title to Batista and after a rematch in another Punjabi Prison match, Khali failed to regain it.

Khali's change of character came in around 2008 when he began hosting the kiss cam and in a way became a crowd pleaser, this was when WWE must have ran out of ideas of what to do with the giant because ever since he has become something of a comedy wrestler.
A huge force
He was undefeated when he first debuted and was taking on the legend that was The Undertaker, who could only beat him in a Last Man Standing match, not only that, but Khali's chop and vice grip used to be used as his finishers. Anyone who came into contact with his huge hands knew about it.
Fast forward two years and suddenly all of his offence means nothing, Rusev who is a guy half his size can destroy him in a matter of minutes? And he managed to make him tap, it was a sad sight but the image of The Great Khali tapping to The Accolade was a sign of things that have changed in the WWE. It also was an image to show all up and coming superstars what happens when the company have nothing for you. One minute you're on top of the world, and the next minute you are released without anyone noticing.
If The Great Khali has really gone, then this is a sad ending for one of the most recognised characters of the PG era.
