Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is the leading man in Turkish Airlines latest TV advert, which features the Ivorian legend taking on Lionel Messi in an #EpicFood challenge.

The 36-year-old is filmed travelling the world and sampling a variety of foods and different local delicacies, but much to the annoyance of the Blues talisman he's beaten to every destination by Barcelona's mini maestro.

Few would take on the four time FIFA Ballon d'Or winner in any one-on-one contest, although Drogba appears determined to get the better of his Argentinean adversary, eventually going to extreme measures with the help of Turkish Airlines in an attempt to get one over one of the greatest players on the planet.

The motivation for the recording isn't exactly clear - nor is the message the production is trying to get across - but it still makes for a pretty light-hearted 60 second clip with two of the most recognised faces in world football.

Drogba's time playing in Turkey with Super Lig giants Galatasaray was probably the reason he secured the headline role, while Messi's marketing power needs no explaining, especially given the fact he's starred in a Turkish Airlines advert before with none other than NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
