Georgia Bulldogs star running back Todd Gurley, the guaranteed first running back to be taken in the 2015 NFL Draft, is going to be slipping down a lot of mock draft boards.

The junior halfback suffered a non-contact knee injury in the Bulldogs' 34-7 rout of Auburn last night and was taken out of the game.

According to  Bryant McFadden of 120Sports, Gurley's worst nightmares will have come true with the news that he suffered a torn ACL.

This was Gurley's first game back since serving a four-match suspension for accepting money for autographs.

Gurley had 29 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown in his return. The tailback was considered a Heisman favorite prior to his suspension and was second in the nation in all-purpose yards when he was suspended.

In six games this season, Gurley had 911 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, showing himself above other quality running backs like Melvin Gordon, Tevin Coleman and Duke Johnson in college football this year.

I really hope this is something that Gurley can recover from and get back to his best. Marcus Lattimore recently retired after never playing a snap in the NFL after injuring his knee in his last year in college football at South Carolina. Hopefully, the same fate doesn't befall Gurley.
