DeSean Jackson loves a bit of controversy. The Washington Redskins star was a lightning rod for the stuff at the Philadelphia Eagles and is now creating headaches at FedEx Field.
The receiver may not be fully to blame though in what transpired on social media earlier today however. That fault lies with Robert Griffin III, who had a go at his teammates after their dismal loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The wideout Jackson took things up a notch though on his Instagram, hitting back at his quarterback Griffin.
Griffin III called out his teammates after he threw two interceptions – one that was returned for a touchdown – in his second start since returning from an ankle injury.
“It takes 11 men,” Griffin said, according to Yahoo Sports. “It doesn’t take one guy, and that’s proven. If you want to look at the good teams in this league and the great quarterbacks, the Peytons (Manning) and the Aaron Rodgers, those guys don’t play well if their guys don’t play well. They don’t. We need everybody. I need every one of those guys in that locker room, and I know they’re looking at me saying the same thing.”

Jackson took to Instagram on Monday morning, fresh after reading Griffin's comments about his teammates, and dropped a not too subtle hint about his thoughts towards RG3 with this message that was accompanied with this quote: “Top of the Week !! & this how I’m feeling !!”
Jackson firstly hasn't deleted that post which is so obviously about RG3, rather expanding on it with other pictures talking about who has his back and about working hard to gain respect rather than it just being given.
In the world of professional sport, where every comment made by a star is looked at and interpreted in detail, this type of open criticism is rarely seen. But then again, I can't wait for Jackson's response where he inevitably claims he was talking about something or someone else.
