Jose Mourinho has given Chelsea fans an update on the club's injury news ahead of the tie against West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Nathan Ake has injured his hamstring and will miss the next few weeks but apart from that it's good news for Chelsea supporters.
Diego Costa and Andre Schurrle have 'totally recovered' and can both play against WBA while Cesc Fabregas returned to training with the first-team today and Mourinho 'hopes' he can play a part against the Baggies.
Both Costa and Fabregas pulled out of Spain's squad to face Belarus and Germany through injury last week.
Mourinho admitted that Ramires 'is not in a very good condition' but the Brazilian midfielder is on the mend and could feature against West Brom as well.
Chelsea face a busy fixture list over the next six weeks as they play 11 games between today and Sunday 28th December. But while the fixtures are piling up, Mourinho insisted that he's 100 per cent focussed only on the task against Alan Irvine's side.
One player who is looking ahead though is Costa, as Mourinho revealed that the Spain striker has been working with a club physio to prepare his body for the demands of the winter period even while he's been enjoying a short mid-season holiday.
Costa in training
Costa is one of a number of players new to Chelsea, signed from abroad, so is unfamiliar with the Premier League custom of playing through the winter without a break.
As for a predicted lineup in the wake of Mourinho's team news update, it seems fairly clear that Costa will be straight back into the Chelsea starting eleven.
Mourinho confirmed that despite the fact that Costa is just one booking away from a one-game suspension, this will not factor into his thinking over whether or not he starts the Brazilian-born forward.
As for Fabregas, the Chelsea boss may have hoped to save the Spain international as he's only had one day's training but with Ramires lacking fitness, it's likely Mourinho will look to play Fabregas for 60 minutes and see how he holds up.
