Arsenal's best home wins against Manchester United (1)

Arsenal take on Manchester United on Saturday evening looking to beat them for the first time since 2011.

Aaron Ramsey scored on that day, sealing a 1-0 victory for the Gunners and the sixth home victory against their rivals in the Premier League era. Since then, however, Arsene Wenger has seen his side lose three out of five games, drawing the other two home and away.

But Manchester United are arguably looking their most vulnerable since Wenger took over at Arsenal in 1996. With Alexis Sanchez currently enjoying some inspirational form, Arsenal are expected to get one over the Red Devils when they visit the Emirates.

Ahead of the game, Wenger would do well to remind his current crop of stars what it takes to beat the 13-time Premier League champions.

After all, only five of the starting XI in the 2011 1-0 win are still at the club.

Should Wenger want to inspire his team, he could do a lot worse than showing the squad some of the great victories Arsenal have enjoyed over Manchester United at both Highbury and Emirates Stadium.
