Smackdown this week came from Knoxville, Tennessee and as the last show before the big Survivor Series Pay-Per-View on Sunday, it had major implications on the weekend's showdown.

Smackdown opened with Michael Cole interviewing Triple H ahead of the big Team Cena vs Team Authority battle in St Louis.

With team leader John Cena absent from the event, he caled the other members of Team Cena out to the stage for a big announcement.

Afrer watching a segment from Cena's interview with Michael Cole on Wednesday, he made the announcement that the members of Team Cena will be fired if the Authority win on Sunday.

However Cena himself won't be fired but will be punished until he inevitably quits the WWE in an announcement that rocked the entire team.

Almost all members of Team Authority were in action on the night in three very big matches.

Ryback and Big Show vs Seth Rollins and Kane

The main event was a big time tag team match between four of the men who will compete in Sunday's big match.

The match would end on a disqualification after Rusev, Luke Harper and Mark Henry would get involved and that would start a heavy beatdown.

All members of Team Cena would be laid out by the end as the Authority was left standing tall as Smackdown ended.

Dolph Ziggler vs Rusev

Ziggler took on the big Bulgarian and put in a very good showing in a physical match between the two which opened Smackdown.

Rusev would inevitably get the win without any assistance from the rest of Team Authority as Ziggler's bad week continued.

Erick Rowan vs Cesaro

Cesaro may not be in the big match on Sunday but he has clearly aligned himself with the Authority, and he was challenged to take out Rowan on Smackdown.

As expected, this was a physical match with Rowan getting the win off a very unique move forcing Cesaro to tap out.

After the match Rowan's former family member Luke Harper would circle the ring as the tension between the two continued to build.

Brie Bella vs 'Nikki Bella'

On Monday night we saw Brie Bella dressed as AJ Lee take on Nikki, tonight we saw AJ dressed as Nikki take on Brie.

AJ got a great reception in her Nikki costume and the Divas champion even emerged victorious.

Los Matadores vs The Miz and Damian Mizdow

Two of the teams in Sunday's fatal four way match for tag team championships squared off with one of the most bizarre endings yet.

As the Usos and Gold and Stardust watched on, Miz was tossed into the Usos and that lead to Mizdow jumping into the tag team champions.

Los Matadores got the win after pinning the Miz keeping them on good form going into Survivor Series.

Dean Ambrose has a message for Bray Wyatt

Ambrose told a story from his childhood and explained how his entire body is a weapon he will use to hurt Bray Wyatt.

Wyatt then responded from a prison cell, claiming that the two will destroy each other come Sunday.
