Schalke 04 vs Chelsea
Champions League
19:45 KO

Chelsea will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season as they prepare to take on German outfit Schalke 04 in the Champions League this evening.

The Blues, who currently sit at the top of Group G, will qualify for the Round of 16 of Europe's elite competition with a victory in the Veltins-Arena.

And with the likes of Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas, John Terry and Co. all starting for the Stamford Bridge outfit, Jose Mourinho's side will be extremely confident that they can get the job done in Germany.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois also comes in for Mourinho's side, with the duo of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic starring in the middle of the park.

Everything to play for

Schalke, meanwhile, who are managed by ex-Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo, still have everything to play for, and can go level on points with the Blues if they gain the victory in the showdown.

The Bundesliga outfit, who have made an inconsistent start to the domestic season, certainly have players who can hurt Chelsea, with the likes of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Co. in the starting XI.

The teams

Schalke 04 XI: Fahrmann; Neustadter, Santana, Howedes; Uchida, Fuchs, Kirchhoff, Boateng, Hoger; Choupo-Moting, Huntelaar

Subs: TBC

Chelsea XI: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Diego Costa.

Subs: Cech, Zouma, Filipe Luis, Mikel, Ramires, Schurrle, Drogba.
