Football News

Roman Reigns has revealed who he would most like to face at WrestleMania 31 in an explosive interview today.

The WWE superstar is currently recovering from a hernia injury that has kept him out of the ring since September. The injury forced him out of Night of Champions, where he was set to compete against Seth Rollins.

But now the news for Roman Reigns seems positive, and he is set to make a return to WWE before 2014 is officially over. And despite being out for almost two months, Reigns is ready to start where he left off by making a run at the WWE Heavyweight Championship, but above all else, Reigns is desperate to face off against The Rock at WrestleMania 31 in what would be an epic match between the two superstars.

WrestleMania comments

"I think just considering the family I come from, there'd be no way better to celebrate it than having a match with Rocky at Wrestlemania," Wrestlinginc.com reported.

The likeliness of the two superstars going head to head is possibly at an all-time low though after it was reported that The Rock may miss WrestleMania altogether because of commitments to Hollywood.

But even if this awesome match-up at WrestleMania 31 doesn't happen, Roman Reigns has got much more on his mind as he aims to return to wrestling in style and pick off the best in the business over the next few months in his quest to reach the top of the WWE.

Blessing in disguise

And Roman Reigns says that he believed his time away from the WWE due to injury may actually be a blessing in disguise. WWE stars never get an offseason with the continued 24-7, 365-day nature of the business. Reigns has had plenty of time off during his recovery, and the superstar wrestler says this time off has left him refreshed and ready to tackle things head on again.

"Based on the fact that we don't have an offseason, it's great for me personally and mentally to be able to collect myself, kind of gather the troops, re-game plan and just attack this thing another way. I don't see it as I'm chasing that big pop. I'm not chasing one big pop. I'm chasing a collection of humongous, out-of-this world, never-been-heard-before pops," Reigns added.

"I just don't want one of them, I want to hear them every single night and every single time I go in. So that's the game plan for me. It would be nice to hear that energy be created again on the very first night that I come back but it's gonna take a lot more than just one night. It's gonna take day in and day out of just hard work."
