We are just two weeks away from the TLC Pay-Per-View and since the first match was announced last week at Survivor Series, we have eagerly awaited more to be announced.
Tonight on RAW we saw two new matches officially named for the event but one of them will carry bad news for the WWE Universe.
We are once again having to suffer through the era of the anonymous general manager but tonight he made a big match for John Cena.
As Cena was confronted by Seth Rollins at the top of the show, the anonymous GM announced that the two men will face off at TLC in a tables match.
It is the long awaited match between the two that we have wanted to see since Night of Champions.
- Stone Cold Steve Austin makes big statements about Sting and current roster
- WWE make huge Royal Rumble u-turn
- Zeb Coulter sends warning message to US Title champion
The added stipulation that should John Cena lose, he will no longer be the #1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will only make it more interesting.
However, as interesting a match as this will surely be, its announcement means only one thing.
TLC will have no WWE World Heavyweight Championship match!
Championship missing again
We haven't had a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match since Night of Champions in September nor have we seen champion Brock Lesnar since.
In the PPV's following our main events have been Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match and the big Team Cena vs Team Authority match at Survivor Series.
We've had good main events but a large majority of the WWE Universe are becoming more and more agitated with the continued absence of the champion Lesnar.
Many had theorised that we would see a championship match between Cena and Lesnar at TLC but the announcement tonight now shows that to be very unlikely.
The fans want a champion and Lesnar's absence is causing serious problems amongst the fans and another PPV without a championship match could spark some serious issues.
You can never say never however as Lesnar is being advertised for RAW next week which will host the annual Slammy awards.
A championship match may not be out of the picture just yet though as it may not be completely surprising to hear that if Cena beats Rollins at TLC, he will then face Lesnar on the same night.
Next big match
Whilst Rollins vs Cena was the big match announced, another was confirmed as the Tag Team Champions Miz and Damien Mizdow found out who they will defend their titles against.
In a tag team turmoil match, The New Day, Gold and Stardust, The Usos, Adam Rose and the Bunny and the team of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd fought for the right to be the #1 contender.
The Usos emerged victorious and will now challenge for the tag team championships at TLC in what should be a personal match.
