Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on £35 million summer signing Alexis Sanchez after his match-winning performance secured Arsenal a vital 1-0 victory over Southampton last night.

The Gunners boss claims he cannot remember another player that has settled in England in so quickly, after the Chilean's 89th-minute strike took his personal tally to 14 goals in 18 games.

Cricket now and Alastair Cook has been banned for one match due to England's slow over-rate in their win over Sri Lanka in the third one-day international.

The 29-year-old skipper has also been fined 20 per cent of his match fee by referee David Boon - in what is the second time Cook has been found guilty of a minor over-rate offence in ODIs in the past 12 months.

And finally Formula One where the Jules Bianchi accident panel has discovered that the Marussia driver 'did not slow sufficiently' in the lead-up to the Suzuka crash back in October which has left him in a critical condition in hospital with severe head injuries.
