Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has named his starting line-up for tomorrow night's Champions League showdown against Galatasaray more than 24 hours early, with the welcome return from injury of Mathieu Debuchy providing a timely boost for the under-fire boss.

Debuchy has been sidelined since September after damaging his ankle against Manchester City, in a fairly innocuous incident which has typified Arsenal's terrible luck with injuries so far this season.

The French international has been back in full training for the best part of a fortnight though and is deemed ready to start in Istanbul on Tuesday, but his compatriot Laurent Koscielny will not be risked.

Star trio don't travel

Koscielny has been left at home as he continues to nurse tendinitis in his Achilles tendons, a worrying long-term problem which will have to be managed very closely by Gunners staff moving forward.

Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck also haven't made the trip to Turkey, but their absence gives the likes of Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell and Yaya Sanogo the chance to press home claims to feature more regularly with rare starts.

Subs bench looks threadbare

Wenger has picked a strong starting XI given the fact there's only an outside chance of Arsenal toppling Borussia Dortmund as group winners even with a victory.

Per Mertesacker, Mathieu Flamini and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all start, but beyond that the substitutes tomorrow night will be one of the most inexperienced in Champions League history.

Chuba Akpom, Gedion Zelalem, Alex Iwobi, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Glen Kamara and Stefan O'Connor are among the youngsters in contention to make an impact from the bench, which would represent a baptism of fire to say the very least.

Arsenal XI to face Galatasaray: Szczesny, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Chambers, Bellerin, Ramsey, Flamini, Chamberlain, Campbell, Sanogo, Podolski.

Substitutes: Martinez, Akpom, Zelalem, Kamara, O'Connor, Iwobi and Maitland-Niles
