Almost all bookmakers have narrowed down the winners of this season's Champions League to four teams: Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea or Barcelona.
They have good reason to do this because these four sides look the most elite in Europe this season.
However, let’s take a look at a couple of sides who could spoil the party and go all the way.
First up are last season's finalists, Atletico Madrid, who were seconds away from winning the crown last season. However, over the summer they lost the likes of Diego Costa, Thibaut Courtois and David Villa.
Although with Diego Simeone still at the helm, Atletico have progressed to the last sixteen and have been going well in La Liga. With new signing Mario Mandzukic picking up where he left off at Bayern Munich, in terms of goal scoring, Atletico may be worth a bet on.
Paris Saint-Germain, or PSG as they are commonly called, were only dismissed from last season's competition on away goals at the quarter-final stage. This season the team looks better than ever before and have already defeated Barcelona in this year's groups stage.
Many bookmakers rank PSG at fifth favourite for the crown, behind the four mentioned at the top. That four does include both, Barcelona and Chelsea, who have both been beaten by PSG at the Parc des Princes in the past year. All this adds up and at 20/1 in most places, PSG could be a dark horse.
Bottom of the Bundesliga, yet Borussia Dortmund have sealed their place in the Champions League last sixteen. Pure madness. Finalists in 2013, although Dortmund have lost some members of that side, they still remain a threat.
With Signal Iduna Park crammed full of 80,000 pumped up fans, I defy any side to consider that an easy task. Dortmund will pose a huge threat in the knockout stages. Also due to their current league position, Dortmund may well need to win the Champions League just to reconfirm their place for next season.
The final side that cannot yet be written off is Manchester City. Yes, they have been appalling so far and could go out to Roma on Wednesday.
However, if City escape from the group, they pose a threat to any side in European football. With the core of Kompany, Toure and Aguero, this Manchester City side could beat any, if these three stars perform.
Any of these sides could win the whole thing and that is without even mentioning the Italian champions, Juventus, and five times Champions League winners, Liverpool.
So who knows, who the winner may be. One thing is for certain: this season's competition looks set to be the best ever for the Champions League, with so many strong sides in the tournament.
