Next week's Monday Night Raw in Detroit will see the return of not one, but two genuine WWE Superstars the WWE has confirmed this week.
Amidst the drama of last night's Raw the WWE made the announcement that, not only would Michigan play host to the long-awaited return of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, but those in attendance would also see popular Superstar Chris Jericho make his comeback.
Night of big return
What's more the WWE added that they have very specific, and very exciting, plans for the veteran wrestler.
Jericho will put his many years of experience in the WWE to good use on the Dec. 15th Raw taping as he takes on the role of General Manager for one night only.
Ever since The Authority lost out to Team Cena at Survivor Series - Triple H and Stephenie McMahon losing control in the process - the GM position has been on rotation. The likes of Mick Foley have been rumored to be in line to take on the position in the future but it looks like Y2J will get his chance to run the rule over the WWE roster in the meantime.
- Triple H and Stephanie McMahon take on extra roles outside WWE
- Seth Rollins dominates on a night of shocks at the Slammy Awards
- Slammy Awards, ambulances and Roman Reigns returns - RAW review 9th December
With Jericho and his notoriously entertaining character in charge, WWE fans can likely expect a high-octane, fun night in Detroit.
Having not been seen on Raw for several months now, and only in the WWE at all in a brief appearance at a Smackdown taping on the UK tour, the night will already be a must-see for wrestling fans as they welcome back Jericho.
Of course Jericho's return will come on the same night that Brock Lesnar finally sets foot back in a WWE ring. The Heavyweight Champion has been away from WWE TV since September, his part-time status meaning that fans have been starved of seeing the title holder in action.
With big names lined up to return, and a big name in charge of the event it is sure to be an action-packed show.
