Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could be missing for up to eight weeks, as he recovers from the knee injury suffered against Everton last weekend. Manuel Pellegrini admitted that the Argentine's absence is a blow after scoring 19 goals in 21 games for the Citizens this season, but insisted that his team is not reliant on any one player. Australia captain Michael Clarke scored his 28th Test century after being cleared to resume batting on day two of the Adelaide test against India. Clarke retired hurt with a back injury on 60 during the afternoon session on day one, but returned to the crease after receiving painkilling injections to put on 163 for the seventh wicket with Steven Smith. And finally, a South African court has granted prosecutors leave to appeal Oscar Pistorius' conviction for culpable homicide.
