The Kuwaiti Premier League, one must admit, is not the first port of call when on the search for a fix of some footballing gold outside of the regular hunting ground of the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga or Ligue 1.

Ok, the standard of football is perhaps not up there with the others mentioned but entertainment can come in many forms. As can the practice in top level sport of trying to gain a psychological advantage over an opponent.

Luis Suarez bites, Vinnie Jones grabbed testicles and Joey Barton acts like a complete tool in attempts to throw the opposition off their game. When there is so much at stake and the pressure is sky high, even the smallest edge can make a difference.

However, the Instagram video below, which we have been told is from the Kuwaiti Premier League, perhaps is an example of going a little bit too far in the quest for 'The Edge' in competitive sport. It looks pretty painful anyway.

Two players are in the midst of the noble battle for supremacy in the sport where the ball is kicked and, as can sometimes be a consequence of said struggle, they tumble to the floor in a heap.

Camera tracks away to witness some protest towards the referee but, fortunately, quickly nips back over to the floored combatants in time to see one of them do what looks like bite then stick his finger up the backside of his opponent.

As one can imagine, the reaction to this is not exactly one of delight and there is an angry fallout from the bum biting incident. Adding to the hilarity, the Suarez wannabe then attempts to indicate he has been the one wronged and has picked up an injury in the process. Bonkers.
