From December 1st until December 25th, one goal will be presented each day. The goals in the calendar have all been scored within the since January 1st this year.
The goals have been picked out by a jury of three people after a thorough review of the football year.
For December 16th, we've got Alexander Tetty's amazing volley against Sunderland last season. Enjoy!
To score from such a distance is a great effort in itself, and the manner in which he strikes the ball is also very special. Compared to other goals in this calendar, Tettey's shot is not excessively powerful.
He just approaches the ball, and slams it elegantly with the outside of his right foot. Ridiculously perfect.
Norwich's previous season was terrible, and it resulted in demotion to the Championship. When this match was played, though, the Canaries were fighting with beak and claw to avoid relegation.
Therefore, Tettey's 2-0 goal against Sunderland should not be underestimated when it comes to significance. Sunderland had a poor season last year as well, and certainly, there are marginally better defences in the Premier League.
