WWE expecting Brock Lesnar to leave next year

Football News

Brock Lesnar is the biggest name in the WWE by far at the moment.

Lesnar is such a star that he doesn't have to work every week and Vince McMahon still pays him way more than most others on the roster.

But it seems that despite being paid so much to do so little work, Lesnar could still be leaving the WWE when his contract is up next summer. And it has the WWE running scared.

No More Merch

According to reports from Wrestling Inc and F4W Online, the WWE have told their merchandise department that they will no longer be making any new releases for Lesnar.

"There's apparently a feeling within WWE that Lesnar is leaving after WrestleMania 31 and that he will probably do MMA one more time in his career. A three-way bidding war for Lesnar between WWE, UFC and Bellator is expected."

Part Timer

I genuinely have no idea why the WWE are prepared to offer Lesnar an insane amount of money to work part time. Lesnar doesn't like travelling and even when he is there it looks like he'd rather be anywhere else than in the ring.

But still, McMahon and the WWE have dug themselves into such a hole that they need a wrestler like Lesnar to make money in PPV's that they just wouldn't be able to make with any other of the heels on the roster right now.

But there it is. Expect a huge bidding war for Lesnar's services in the summer from all sides, and with the WWE having competition from UFC and Bellator it seems like they will have to put up an even better offer while keeping the same part time schedule to have any chance of re-signing Lesnar.
