Football News

The WWE is in an incredibly tricky place right now. With Brock Lesnar currently being the WWE Champion despite only being a part-timer, it puts strains on how the shows like Raw can be made interesting.

And those problems could soon be getting even worse - or better in some people's eyes - with the news that Lesnar could well be leaving the WWE after WrestleMania next year.

Naturally, the WWE would need someone to fill the void left by Lesnar when he goes, and we may have just found out who that someone is...

According to reports from WrestlingInc, the WWE will no longer be creating any new merchandise for the Champion Lesnar just in case he does end up leaving to go back to MMA with either UFC or Bellator.

Sheamus' Time

And all the plans that the company originally had for Lesnar will be going to Sheamus instead, who is currently injured and hasn't been seen on TV for a while after surgery.

With the news that Sheamus will be receiving all of Lesnar's future plans, it does lend credence to the rumour that the Celtic Warrior is set for a massive push when we do eventually get him back on our screens.

Sheamus was injured during a match on Raw with Big Show and was hospitalized with bone spurs and nerval compression in his neck according to the WWE.

The Dublin native has been WWE Heavyweight Champion once, a two-time WWE Champion, as well as a twice United States Champ and a former Royal Rumble winner. It will be interesting to see if he comes back as a face like he was before, or if they repackage him as a heel to make up for Lesnar's possible exit.
