Football: Real Madrid advance to the Club World Cup final after 4-0 win against Cruz Azul in Morocco.

Rugby Union: Premiership champions Northampton Saints have offered new contracts to seven different players.

Boxing: Anthony Crolla to undergo surgery after sustaining multiple injuries following an attack by burglars.

Real Madrid eased into the final of the Club World Cup after an emphatic 4-0 win over Mexican side Cruz Azul thanks to goals from Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Isco.

The Spanish giants dominated from the first whistle of a match that had to be moved from Rabat to Marrakech due to heavy rain in Morocco over the weekend, and will face the winner of San Lorenzo and Auckland City FC on Saturday.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo was left frustrated by the end of the game after failing to add to his incredible haul of 32 goals in the past 23 games, firing a blank for only the fifth time this season, and first time in four games since the 2-1 victory over Malaga on November 29.

Rugby Union now and England pair Dylan Hartley and Courtney Lawes are among seven players to have signed new deals at Northampton Saints.

Calum Clark, Alex Waller, Ethan Waller, James Craig and Gareth Denman have also agreed terms with the Premiership champions.

And finally to Boxing where Manchester lightweight Anthony Crolla suffered a fractured skull and broken ankle after confronting burglars that broke into his next door neighbours' home.

The 28-year-old former British and Commonwealth champion was due to fight for a world title in January, but the challenge for Richar Abril's WBA belt has now been postponed.
