Louis van Gaal hints that Radamel Falcao could start against Aston Villa

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed that striker Radamel Falcao could start against Aston Villa tomorrow afternoon, reports Rob Dawson of the Manchester Evening News.

Falcao has struggled for playing time at Old Trafford of late, having been restricted to a number of cameo appearances from the substitute bench, but it now appears that he could be in line to start against Paul Lambert's side tomorrow. 

Huge chance 

There's no doubt about it, after a difficult opening period to his Premier League career, the striker has it all to prove as he goes in search of securing a permanent deal with the club. 

And, after scoring just one goal for the Red Devils so far in this campaign, he will be hoping to prove his credentials over the coming weeks and months. The striker may, then, be handed a huge opportunity to shine at Villa Park tomorrow. 

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the United boss told reporters: "He has shown fitness in the training sessions. Maybe I shall select him for the bench, maybe for the line up."

It remains to be seen as to whether the Red Devils chief will start the striker, though, with a number of attacking stars in contention for a starring role. 

As well as Falcao, the Red Devils have the likes of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and youngster James Wilson all at their disposal. 

Fine form 

The duo of Van Persie and Rooney have been in fine form for United of late, whilst Wilson continues to impress as he moves up the pecking order under the new regime. 

Whoever starts for United, they will certainly have more than enough fire power as they go in search of securing another victory in England's elite division. 

After six wins in a row under Van Gaal, Red Devils fans will be hoping to secure yet another thee points at Villa Park, and they will certainly be confident of doing just that.
