Seattle Seahawks are back to their best defense as they go about proving they have what it takes to become one of the great NFL dynasties.

But every great dynasty needs continuity, and Seattle are proving this week that they're ready to put faith in their current defensive personnel for the long-term.

Earlier this week the Seahawks signed K.J. Wright to a new four-year deal, with the move to secure Cliff Avril to a new contract going down as another huge step in the right direction for the franchise.

Huge signing

Avril signed the contract on Friday to become one of a number Seahawks' defensive players with new deals.

After their huge 43-8 Super Bowl over Denver in February there was a worry that Seattle might not be able to retain their superstars on defense, but now they're slowly but surely tying their stars down for the long-term, and nobody is more happy about that than Avril himself.
