WWE: Hulk Hogan revealed as SmackDown General Manager

Football News

When most WWE fans think of the industry's programme schedule at Christmas time, they think of Mick Foley dressed up in a red and white Santa Claus suit.

For this year's Boxing Day edition of SmackDown however, this was not to be the case as it was none other than Hulk Hogan who took to the role of General Manager for the night, with Foley having turned down the position due to other commitments.

Ho Ho Hogan

Whenever Hulk Hogan is making an appearance, the WWE Universe is sure to be in for an entertaining time and last night's show, which was taped in advanced because of the holiday season, did not disappoint.

This episode saw Hogan create some pretty standard matches, with the likes of Naomi facing Alicia Fox in a typical match and The Miz being put up against one half of The Usos, Jimmy, in a singles match.

In addition, Hogan told Rusev he would have to put his US Title on the line, which he did so against Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose managed to win the bout, but only by disqualification, which came about due to Bray Wyatt's involvement, eventually resulting in a huge brawl.

Rusev also made an appearance shortly after Kane and Ryback's match up, with Kane landing a couple of choke slams on The Bulgarian Brute.

Massive Main Event

The main event of the night however was set to be a great match. A tag team match was created which saw Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler battle it out against the duo of Big Show and Seth Rollins.

Reigns and Ziggler won the match after Reigns pinned Rollins after performing the spear, a result and an ending you can't help but think may have been a match more suited for Monday Night Raw.
