Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is expected to hand young striker James Wilson a starting opportunity in the FA Cup Third Round clash against Yeovil Town tomorrow (Sunday).

The 19-year-old forward has been around the first-team for some time now, with current number two and club legend Ryan Giggs giving him opportunities at the end of last season. He scored twice on his starting debut in the 3-1 win over Hull.

Louis van Gaal has continued to keep Wilson around the squad, although he's started just one game this season - the 2-1 win over Stoke City in early December. He has made 10 appearances in total, with nine of those coming in the Premier League.

The other was in the embarrassing defeat to MK Dons in the League Cup, but Wilson will be hoping that he might start in the other Cup competition as Manchester United make the tricky looking trip to Huish Park.

Yeovil currently sit bottom of League One and Gary Johnson will be hoping for an improved performance in-front of the TV cameras. Their form is in steep contrast to the Red Devils, who are currently 10-games unbeaten.

Louis van Gaal is set to rest a number of his first team regulars against the Glovers, and neither Robin van Persie or Radamel Falcao are expected to start. Captain Wayne Rooney could get the nod though, with the Manchester United manager previously stating his captain will always play.

This might be an opportunity to rest the England skipper though, and either way Wilson will be expecting to lead the line as he aims to add to his growing reputation.

Di Maria's return?

Argentine winger Angel di Maria could also make an appearance, as the £59.7million summer signing looks to return after missing seven consecutive matches because of hamstring and pelvic injuries.

Ashley Young is out however after limping off during the 1-1 draw against the Potters on New Year's Day, joining Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind on the treatment table at Old Trafford.
