Yeovil Town v Manchester United: Live team sheet

Football News

Manchester United’s star-studded squad travel to Huish Park this afternoon to take on League One outfit Yeovil Town in the FA Cup third round.

Louis van Gaal’s side are the overwhelming favourites to win the match and advance to the fourth round of England’s prestigious cup competition - but their opponents, who currently sit rock bottom of League One, will take heart from MK Dons’ stunning performance against the Red Devils back in August.

United were dumped out of the League Cup at the second round stage after losing 4-0 against the Dons - and Van Gaal will be desperate to avoid another humiliating cup defeat against the Glovers later today.

Team line-ups

The teams are now in - and this is how the line up…

Yeovil Town: Steer, Smith, Nugent, Arthurworrey, Twumasi, Ralph, Edwards, Foley, Dawson, Gillett, Moore.

Subs: TBC

Manchester United: De Gea, Smalling, McNair, Blackett, Rafael, Fletcher, Herrera, Rooney, Shaw, Wilson, Falcao.

Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Anderson, Lingard, Mata, Januzaj, Di Maria.

Angel di Maria has returned from his lengthy injury lay-off to take his place on the Manchester United bench, while teenage striker James Wilson starts in attack.

Van Gaal has also taken this opportunity to hand a well-deserved rest to Robin van Persie and Michael Carrick.
