Luis Suarez pushes Neymar in Barcelona training

Football News

Luis Suarez has just gone viral. No, not for biting someone, but for pushing his own team-mate Neymar in the back.

Suarez would have been slightly star struck when he reported for his first Barcelona training session earlier this season. The Uruguayan striker finally got his dream move to the La Liga outfit this summer despite his ongoing ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini.

However, the honeymoon period is over and the £75 million signing from Liverpool is getting serious with his new team-mates regardless of their reputation.

One super star at Barcelona is Neymar. He is the Brazilian poster boy who cost the club a reported £106.8 million including fees, taxes and fines after joining from Santos in 2013. He is also the man who was causing unrest between the club and Lionel Messi. So he's kind of a big deal.

But Suarez doesn't care. He just gets on with it. As such, the former Liverpool star had no hesitation in giving Neymar a pretty hard shove in the back during a recent training session. Whether Neymar was doing something wrong or Suarez just doesn't like him, we don't know but there is no doubting there was some malice in this.

Frustrating start

Suarez has had a frustrating start to life at the Nou Camp. After serving his ban, the 27-year-old went straight into the team but has had to adapt to a new role of supplying goals rather than scoring them.

Only one goal in his first eight La Liga appearances is nothing compared to the strike rate he enjoyed at Liverpool, but five assists for his team-mates hints that he is adapting well. His contributions in training, however, leave much to be desired.
