Convicted rapist Ched Evans on the verge of new deal at Oldham

Oldham are on the verge of pulling out of a deal to sign convicted rapist Ched Evans. More than 20,000 people signed a petition urging the club to drop their interest, while sponsors have threatened to tear up agreements if the move goes ahead. On to Darts and Gary Anderson pulled off a thrilling 7-6 win over Phil Taylor in the PDC World Championship Final last night. The 44-year-old scooped £250,000 after edging past 16-time champion Taylor. Next and Bradley Wiggins has signed a short-term contract that will see him stay with Team Sky until April. Afterwards the 34-year-old is then expected to switch his attentions to securing a place at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. And finally both the Dallas Cowboys and the Indianapolis Colts have secured their place in the Divisional Round of the NFL play-offs after beating the Detroit Lions and the Cincinatti Bengals respectively.
