Neymar's new girlfriend is stunning Spanish lawyer Elizabeth Martinez

He may not be grabbing too many headlines for his on-pitch exploits at the moment, but Neymar Jr can’t help but hog the attention off of it, particularly on the internet scene.

When he’s not visiting ill children in hospital or showing off his flashy freestyle skills Neymar can usually be found kicking back with a gorgeous girl on his arm. The youngster’s list of ex-girlfriend’s is enough to make most men envious, but it’s his current partner who might just be the cherry on top of a painfully sweet cake.

Neymar's new romance

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, as relayed by 101 Great Goals, Brazil’s poster boy is now dating lawyer Elizabeth Martinez, and she’s every bit as beautiful as you might expect. Naturally after the news of Neymar’s latest romance broke the internet was flooded with searches for pictures of the 26-year-old, and there’s few who are likely to be disappointed at what came back their way.

Martinez is said to be a known Barcelona fanatic, and so in this instance it can be assumed that she’s just as pleased to have landed herself perhaps the Catalan club’s brightest burgeoning star as he is to have bagged her.

Barcelona defeat

What she might not be too pleased with of course is the team’s recent showing against Real Sociedad. Following Real Madrid’s surprise 2-1 loss to Valencia at the Mestalla on Saturday Barcelona had the chance to leapfrog them in the table - although Los Blancos do still have a game in hand.

However David Moyes and his men from San Sebastian also upset the apple cart, leaving Luis Enrique with a bitter taste in his mouth and the likes of Luis Suarez attracting dire criticism.

Neymar himself may be prone to avoiding the sharpened knives of the Nou Camp crowd on mass due to his status, but he’s going to have to do better if he harbours of hopes of impressing Martinez.
