The Cleveland Cavaliers struggles without LeBron James continued tonight as they fell to a surprising road loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Sixers snapped a 14 game home losing streak over Kevin Love and Cavaliers who have continued to slide ever since LeBron James went down with an injury.

The Sixers ran out very tight three point winners as they hit the game winning layup with nine seconds left in the game.

Two free throws were hit by Robert Covington as time expired to allow the Sixers to open up the decisive three point gap.

Kevin Love tried his best in the absence of LeBron and even came away with 28 points in the game but it just wasn't enough.

Love even had 19 rebounds but Michael Carter-Williams and Tony Wroten were instrumental in guiding the Sixers to victory.

The Sixers have now levelled divisional rivals the New York Knicks on five wins this season and move off the bottom of the Atlantic division.

Not just ending their 14 game losing streak at home, the Sixers ended a five game losing with their win over the Cavaliers.

For Cleveland however, it is now one win in their last six games but they still hold the #5 seed in the Eastern conference.

Lakers struggle without Kobe

The LA Lakers took the short trip north to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers but came away with nothing as the Blazers ran out 98-94 winners.

Portland remained as the #2 seed in the Western conference and moved on to 27-8 this season as they continue to chase the Golden State Warriors.

Damian Lillard had an incredible night for the Blazers as he came away with 39 points as he helped lead the Blazers to victory.

The Lakers who left Kobe Bryant at home tonight now slip to 11-24 this season and have now lost four of their last six.

The leaders keep rolling

With the exception of the Toronto Raptors, all division leaders were in action tonight and everyone of them got vital wins.

The Blazers beat the Lakers whilst the Memphis Grizzlies condemned the New York Knicks to yet another loss.

The Golden State Warriors got a huge win over the Oklahoma City Thunder as they prevented the Thunder from gaining a winning record.

In a clash of the seeded teams, the #1 seed in the East the Atlanta Hawks took on the #6 seed in the West the LA Clippers.

The Hawks came away with a nine point win in LA and strengthened their position at the top of the Eastern conference.

The Hawks win was bad news for the Chicago Bulls who despite beating the Houston Rockets tonight, were unable to make up any ground on the Hawks.
