Chelsea predicted XI to face Newcastle United

Revenge will be on Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's mind when the Blues host Newcastle United in the Premier League tomorrow afternoon, which means there will be few survivors from the side which cruised past Watford in the FA Cup last weekend.

Mourinho gave the likes of Loic Remy, Andre Schurrle and Ramires the chance to shine in that 3-0 win, but it would be a huge surprise if the likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard aren't back in the fold to face a Magpies side which have already caused Chelsea huge problems once this season.

Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the season to Newcastle just over a month ago at St James' Park, which when coupled with their last shocking Premier League display at Tottenham Hotspur makes it imperative Mourinho's men respond with a vastly-improved display this weekend.

Normal service resumed

Petr Cech, Kurt Zouma, Filipe Luis, Remy, Schurrle, Ramires and most likely Jon Obi Mikel will all be back on the subs bench tomorrow, with Mourinho eyeing no fewer than eight changes to his starting XI.

Thibuat Courtois, Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fabregas, Hazard and Costa will be charged with proving they deserve to spearhead Chelsea's title charge, against a side who continue to battle on without a full-time manager.

Matic the difference maker?

Chelsea were of course without midfield linchpin Matic the last time they faced Newcastle, with the Serbian enforcer missing through suspension.

Matic will expect to stamp his authority on proceedings in midfield in West London tomorrow, if he does then Chelsea have an excellent chance of maintaining their excellent home record and staying top of the Premier League this season to boot.

Predicted Chelsea XI to face Newcastle: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Matic, Fabregas, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Costa
