Froch makes quit threat

In boxing Carl Froch has reiterated his stance that he will retire if Julio Cesar Chavez Jr doesn’t agree to face him in Las Vegas. The British champion has numerous offers, not least from the likes of James DeGale, but is resolute in his stance that it’s Chavez Jr. or nothing as he looks to finish his career in style.

Jose Mourinho prepares for punishment

Jose Mourinho has been formally charged by the F.A for comments made inferring that the organisation had a campaign to stop Chelsea from being successful.

The Special One, who regularly winds up in trouble for speaking his mind, complained after his side were denied a penalty during a 1-1 draw with Southampton in December and will face charges for misconduct. In response Mourinho took a vow of silence, withdrawing from his media duties today.

Djokovic in surprise exit

Novak Djokovic surprised the world of tennis yesterday by crashing out of the Qatar Open virtue of a loss to Ivo Karlovic. The Serbian took the first set after a close tie-break, but then lost two on the bounce to succumb to a defeat that very much upset the odds.
