In a fixture that has every right to be expected to be a close affair normally, it’s with a degree of surprise that many are expecting Manchester City to prove too much for their opposition. Manuel Pellegrini’s charges are now second in the table only by goal difference, and Everton don’t look half as confident as they did at the same stage last year. Nevertheless Roberto Martinez will be desperate to improve on a recent record that sees them having lost 6 times in 8 Premier League games, including to City back in December. Our verdict however remains 2-0 to Manchester City.
