Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao was left stunned by Louis van Gaal's decision to leave him out of his 18-man squad for Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Southampton and is reportedly considering his future at Old Trafford.
This is according to The Sun, who understand that Falcao is concerned Van Gaal is treating him differently to some of his teammates - Robin van Persie being cited as the prime example.

The out-of-sorts Dutch striker has retained his place in Manchester United's starting line-up despite a string of poor performances at various stages in the season.
Falcao unsure about signing for United
Van Gaal has the option of turning Falcao's season-long loan deal into a permanent transfer at the end of the season - provided he can convince the club to pay AS Monaco's £46 million asking price - but the Colombia international is not prepared to commit his future to a club with a manager who refuses to play him regularly.
Van Gaal, perhaps influenced by Falcao's below-par performance against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup third round a week earlier, opted to deploy Van Persie upfront with Angel di Maria just behind him in an unfamiliar second-striker role.
Furthermore, the veteran Dutch coach selected 19-year-old striker James Wilson - instead of Falcao - on the substitutes' bench, and opted against bringing the teenager on even though Van Persie was forced off through injury on the hour-mark.
Van Gaal's decisions slammed
Manchester United lost the match 1-0 and Van Gaal was heavily criticised for his decision to omit Falcao from his match-day squad - along with his choice of formation. The United boss is stubbornly sticking by his 5-3-2 formation, despite the fact the Red Devils' players have struggled to adapt.
Currently fourth in the Premier League table, without a win in three matches, Manchester United are at risk of being overtaken by Arsenal this weekend.
The Red Devils travel to west London to take on struggling Queens Park Rangers on Saturday - a fixture which may look relatively straight-forward on paper but promises to be anything but.
Falcao is expected to be selected upfront by Van Gaal - and the South American will be desperate to prove that the serious knee injury he suffered last night has not ended his career at the very top level.
